FIRPLAK S.A is a proudly Colombian company, with more than 30 years of experience in the market of kitchen and baths in Latin America.
At first, FIRPLAK started as a workshop that manufactured products for construction. However and thanks’ to the vision of their leaders, all our efforts turned to the market of kitchen and baths, where nowadays we produce and commercialize bathtubs, hydro massage bathtubs, lavatories, kitchen sinks and laundry sinks. FIRPLAK also commercializes with his own brand, complementary products such as plumbing and faucet.
During these 30 years, our production lines have been progressing, to the point that FIRPLAK nowadays has the best equipments, and off course a high qualified staff, for the manufacture of fiber glass reinforced polyester resin (FRP) and cast polymer products.
These products are commercialized in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panamá, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, St. Martin, St. Lucia, Antigua, Dominica, Honduras and Haiti.
Our quality and safety is based on 30 years of experience in the manufacturing of these kind of products, using raw materials and equipments from the best multinational industries and subjected to highest standards, both domestically and international, such as ISO 9001 and BASC (Business Alliance for Secure Commerce).

The research has not been stranger for FIRPLAK, with the join of prestigious universities; our company has carried out projects where it has been investigated new products and new production ways. Between the most distinguished are the research project of close molding by means of suction or RTM Light (Resin Transfer Molding). This project will direct our company to achieve higher productivity, explore new markets and reduce the emissions.
Another of the greatest development of our company, has been the total recovering of our industrial excess, where we employ 9 people to manufacture products of our mark and using a high percentage of our industrial excess. This beautiful project has been highlighted by national and international entities.
FIRPLAK has finally entered into the industrial philosophy TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), a long way that at the end will become us in a world class company.
Our company has 4000 square meters, dedicated to the manufacturing of kitchen and bath products. Hydro massage bathtubs, single bathtubs and shower bases are manufactured in the fiber glass plant (FRP); laundry sinks, lavatories and kitchen sinks are manufactured in the cast polymer plant.

Our spry up in fiber glass process and cast polymer “continue cast” technologies are the most modern of the continent, north American equipment of Magnum Venus and raw materials of the most recognized multinational companies such us HK RESEARCH, OMYA, ANDERCOL, SANT GOBAIN and ARQUEMA. These allow us to have the minimum errors in our process.

For the creation of new products we have a molds development department. This department is one of our greatest strengths, allowing us to continually improve our products and create new designs and finishes, that allow us to stay ahead of the market and not to depend another companies and manufactures to innovate with new products.
Finally we have the TPM philosophy (Total Productive Management) that helps us to manufacture with better efficiency, quality, timeliness of delivery, service and trained staff that contribute with their ideas for a continuous improvement...

Article where the magazine “American Composites Manufacturers Association” recognizes FIRPLAK’s work in recovering of his industrial excess.
TMPis a methodology of continuous improvement focusing on eliminating losses (accidents, defects and failures) which FIRPLAK has been implementing since 2006. Since that time it has a planning horizon to 2012 focused on three guidelines:
Obtain a net profit of 10%
Increasing staff competence
Generating innovation
The most interesting part of this project is based on the conformation of small teams throughout the supply chain, which generate effective communication and learning that aim to improvement and involvement of all staff.
FIRPLAK is completely identified with the measurement of the program and it is how has integrated his Management Systems ISO 9001-2000 and BASC (Business Alliance for a Secure Commerce) to the results trough indicators PQCDSM (Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service, Motivation), that monthly review and take preventive or corrective actions to advance the achievement of the objectives.
